What we collect and why

The form collects an area, category and description, with optional location, name and email. We use these details to understand your enquiry, contact you if you provide an email, and record its progress. The lawful basis for this form is your consent. Please do not submit sensitive personal information or other people’s identifying details.

Your public-sharing choice

Agreeing to a public summary is optional and separate from submitting a report. Original text and contact details are not published. An authorised administrator must write and review a separate summary. Only the broad area, category, summary, status and month can be displayed. A summary is withheld if it could identify a person; automated screening does not replace this review. General enquiries stay private.

Who can access your report

Prasanna Bandi can access private reports through a protected dashboard. Cloudflare provides hosting, database infrastructure and Turnstile spam protection as service providers. Contact details, precise locations and descriptions are encrypted before database storage. We will seek your permission before passing identifiable details to another organisation, unless disclosure is legally required.

Security and spam prevention

Cloudflare may process network and device information to secure this website. The application uses a short-lived keyed hash of your IP address for rate limiting, deleted within approximately three days. It does not store your raw IP address in the reports database. Turnstile checks may process browser information. This site does not use advertising or analytics tracking. Administrator authentication uses security cookies.

Retention

Reports and linked public entries are automatically removed from the active database after 12 months. Administrative action records are retained for up to 12 months. Provider backup and recovery copies may remain for a limited recovery period under the provider’s policies.

Your rights and choices

You may withdraw consent and request access, correction, deletion or restriction of your information, and portability where applicable. Withdrawal does not affect processing already lawfully carried out. Use the privacy contact shown above and include your report reference. We may need to verify that the report is yours; anonymous submissions can be harder to locate. You can complain to Ireland’s Data Protection Commission at dataprotection.ie.

International processing

Cloudflare operates a global network. The reports database is configured with EU jurisdiction. Security and network processing may take place outside Ireland or the EU. Cloudflare’s Data Processing Addendum describes its processing obligations and international transfer safeguards.

Community reporting only

Reports are used to address community enquiries. They are not added to political marketing lists, used to infer political views, or sold. This platform is not an emergency service and does not imply elected office or declared candidacy.
